KUMC KU Bimaxillary Center offers an organized surgical system for a beautiful and healthy smile.
1. Introduction
Bimaxillary surgery, along with functional improvement and mental health counseling, is often performed to create a beautiful face. As bimaxillary surgery becomes more prevalent, it is sad to see some people suffer from the surgery itself due to fragmentary information and vain expectations, whereas other people, who really need this procedure, often give up and lead a discontented life. We have been using an organized surgical system in collaboration with orthodontics specialists to provide our patients with satisfactory results.
At the KU Bimaxillary Center, Department of Surgery, Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and KU Jaw Surgery Center, surgery is performed in a medical system that collaborates with health and life-related departments (e.g., Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine).
* Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Diagnosis, Consultation, and Surgery)
* Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine (General Anesthesia and Pain Control)
Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (Airway Assessment and Treatment)
* Among the 8,000 people who were examined by Jae-Sung Kim, 3,784 cases were used as big data based on the facial prototype with attractive facial features and a stable occlusion.
