Admission Process
Admission Decision
If your doctor decides on your hospitalization, please get the issued admission form, and go to the admission desk
for your admission and appointment.
Admission Procedure
Please fill out and submit the admission agreement and receive the inpatient bracelet.
* If there is no available room, please make an appointment for admission.
Qualification of a Guarantor
A householder or an adult with occupation.
* Not applicable for minors.
Ward Assignment and Admission
Please follow the instructions of the nurse in the assigned ward.
Interim Payment
Please make the payment at the discharge desk.
* Please make the payment at the emergency reception desk at night.
Payment Method
Payment Method: Since this is issued once a week (Wednesday), please settle the payment within 2 days.
* The interim statement is not a fixed amount and the exact amount will be calculated upon discharge. The amount paid will be indicated on the final statement
   (including bank deposits).
* Please inform the nurse about the hospitalization and discharge confirmation at least one day before the discharge.
* Please make sure that you contact the administration team when making a bank book deposit.
Special Ward Information
The VIP ward on the 12th floor consists of the VVIP type, VIP type, exclusive room type, and single room type.
Discharge Procedure
Discharge Process
After the completion of the discharge check-up on the day of discharge, please confirm with the nurse of your ward and make the payment at the administration team.
Please pay the medical expenses at desks 11 and 12 of the administration team on the first floor.
Please confirm the receipt at the nurse’s office after making the payment to the administration team.
Upon discharge, you can make an outpatient appointment and examination at desks 11 and 12 of the administration team on the first floor.
Please get your discharge medicine at the nurse’s office after making the payment.
Medical Certificate and Others
You may request for a medical certificate from your doctor or nurse one day before your discharge.
After application, please check with the certificate personnel of the administration team (Desks 9 and 10 of the administration team on the first floor) before 17:00 on the day of your discharge.
Please note that if you request a medical certificate on the day of your discharge, the issuance and discharge will be delayed.
If you need your name in the certificate (admission and discharge certificates), please ask your doctor. Otherwise, you can get one directly from the administration team.
You may not be able to receive a certificate if you apply for it on the day of your discharge.
Interim Statement
Every Wednesday afternoon, a staff in charge will personally deliver the interim statement to your room.
Please make the payment at desks 11 and 12 of the administration team on the first floor within 3 days of receiving the interim statement.
(Credit card payment is accepted.)
Interim payment is available 24 hours a day. During nights and holidays, you can use the administration team’s desk at the emergency center.
You can make a bank deposit at Shinhan Bank (140-005-415205 Konkuk University Medical Center).

Temporary Discharge Payment
Please note that the medical payment will not be reviewed on holidays and during nights (17:30 onwards on Weekdays and 12:30 onwards on Saturdays),
so you will be discharged temporarily.
You will need to settle the temporary discharge payment at a later date, so please receive the recalculation at the cashier’s desk.
The temporary discharge payment is calculated based on the prescription entered into the computer system up until now, so that it may be additionally paid and refunded in the later settlement process.
There may be an additional fee or a refund at the recalculation. For the resettlement, please make sure that you have the same credit card that you used for your previous payments.

- The access control system is applied to all ward entrances.
- Only one guardian with a guardian pass can enter the ward.
- You are not allowed to enter the ward except during the designated visiting hours. Please use the Piano Lounge on B1 and the lobby on the first floor under unavoidable   circumstances.
Visiting Restriction
1. The patients in the hospital are vulnerable to infection due to illness or various treatments. If you have any of the following conditions or related symptoms, your visit may be restricted.

Fever, cough, phlegm, sneezing, runny nose
Patients with acute intestinal infections
Diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting

People who recently contracted an infectious disease

2. There may be hospitalized patients with various infectious diseases. Please refrain from visiting if you are.

What Visitors Must Observe
Be sure to wash or disinfect your hands before and after your visit.
People with respiratory symptoms are prohibited from visiting. In case of sudden coughing or sneezing during the visit, please observe the respiratory etiquette.
* Respiratory etiquette: Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or sleeve to prevent respiratory secretions from splashing on patients and other people.
Your visitation and entry may be prohibited when bringing plants, flower pots, or animals.
If the guardian and the caregiver start to develop fever, respiratory symptoms, or infection symptoms, they must stop caring for the patients and receive proper treatment.
Try to avoid contact with items in the room during your visit. Please do not touch the patients with multiple tubes inserted or who are vulnerable to infection.
Be sure to wash or disinfect your hands before and after contact.
Rest is very important for patients who are undergoing treatment. Be sure to observe the visiting hours and be careful not to disturb other patients’ rest during your visit.
Relatives, group or religious groups should refrain from visiting as it interferes with the rest and care of other patients.
The restroom in the ward is a facility for the patients. Please use the common toilet outside the room for the comfort of the patients.
Please fill out the “Visitor Record”. This is in accordance with the government’s policy to facilitate an epidemiological investigation in the event of an infection exposure incident.
