Thoracic Surgery
The Department of Thoracic Surgery at KUMC provides an early detection and professional treatment of adult cardiovascular diseases (e.g., coronary artery disease, valvular disease, and arrhythmia), pediatric heart disease, aortic disease, peripheral vascular disease, vascular disease (e.g., varicose veins), lung cancer, pneumothorax, mediastinal disease, esophageal cancer, and general thoracic disease (e.g., excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis).
We have established treatment centers for cardiovascular, aortic vessel, lung cancer, and arm and leg vascular in collaboration with the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Respiratory - Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and Department of Radiology. For a more specialized treatment, to provide convenient and effective treatment services. For more specialized treatment, we are also operating a coronary artery disease clinic and a varicose vein clinic.
