The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in our hospital is organized into obstetrics, gynecologic cancer, endocrine, and gynecology. To provide the specialized treatment for patients, we are running high-risk pregnancy clinic, cervical and ovarian cancer clinic, puberty and single woman clinic, menopause clinic, and sex clinic in addition to operating labor rooms, ultrasonogram lab, embryo check-up, and incontinence treatments program. Gynecologic surgery is basically performed with minimal invasive endoscopic procedures and uterine arterial embolization in case of fibroid tumors of the uterus.
Delivery rooms are single occupancy basis to accommodate family members so that they could participate in the delivery process to reduce the labor pain of the mother. Each delivery room is equipped with a central monitoring system that allows doctors and nurses to check up the mother and the new-born baby. This ‘Labor Delivery Room’ has become popular after the Japanese princess delivered her baby in that facility. It enables the mother to labor, deliver and recover without being transferred to other facilities. New mother can stay with her new-born baby and she can use a veinstone bed for recovery. Furthermore, we were listed in 2000 as a ‘baby-friendly hospital’ by UNICEF for our passionate efforts for promoting breastfeeding.
